“Trouble”

The Erotic Photography of Jeremy Mutha' Fuckin' Thompson

Being an incredibly young and talented photographer isn't as easy and wonderful as one might initially think. Spending many hours on a photo shoot with gorgeous half-naked women telling them what to do and how to pose is hard work. As an erotic photographer you're using your camera as a vessel to live out and document people's fantasy's. Just imagine the "trouble" you can get yourself into.

This November The Shooting Gallery is exhibiting the work of Jeremy MF Thompson with his first solo show entitled, "Trouble". Jeremy, a local photographer, has been compiling this body of work over the last year and has picked 26 photographs that best represent his style and fashion of erotic photography to grace the walls of The Shooting Gallery. Just one look at Thompson's work and you know someone is going to get in "trouble". You're not sure who or how, but you know it's coming. His work focuses on the lighter side of erotic photography and the subtleness of sensuality. Jeremy prefers his models to be clothed, and more often than not, but encourages your imagination to undress them. His photographs are more sensual than sexual while using color and perspective to achieve his visual goal. The snapping of a garter belt, the details of red toe nail polish accompanied by high heels, big breasts, strands of pearls, milky white skin , tattoo's, red lipstick, thigh high stockings, the back seat of a car, mild bondage and rubber are all part of Jeremy's palette.

Jeremy, 24 years old, already stands out among many photographers. His ability to create a comfortable environment for his models enables them to be themselves; and thus an intimacy between us the viewer and her. Thompson has a way of filling the frame of his camera, causing the viewer to become attached or married to the women. I myself want to be there in that moment. and if you're not careful, you'll find yourself in a world of "trouble".
