Ron English x Varnish

If you just can’t get enough Ron English, check out his works currently on display at Varnish Fine Art. Ron is one of 200 artists featured in the group show, “Eminent Domain Awareness,” organized to combat a government agency’s vacating of several buildings in San Francisco. The opening reception took place last night, and the exhibition will be up until June 20th for your viewing pleasure. See Juxtapoz for more info.

How 'Happy Endings' Come to Be

Greg Gossel has been working round the clock to amass his largest body of work to date. “Happy Endings” is actually so large that it overflows The Shooting Gallery, extending also into Gallery Three and 666 Gallery. This video straight from Greg’s studio shows just a portion of “Happy Endings,” a preview that keeps us begging for more.

Erik Otto: Paper, Fabric, Wood

Erik Otto is at it again, putting together a neat little package of art and design. Check out what he has to say about his new book, Paper, Fabric, Wood V.2:

“I am pleased to officially announce the release of my most recent publication, Paper Fabric Wood V.2 measuring in at 7×7 inches with 74 pages of full color photos and tons more content. Excited by how the book turned out, I decided to create a Special Edition Gift Set that includes a signed copy of the book , one original drawing, 5 stickers and a postcard all packaged in a customized reusable wooden box in an edition of 20. Oh, and get it all for only $90.”

Good old Twitter clued us in to this archival footage of our dear friend, Joshua Petker. March 2025 marked the 5 year anniversary of The Shooting Gallery and the opening of his second solo show with us, “Neon Black.” We value this video for Joshua’s extensive history lesson on how he got so dang good at painting.
