David
Perry grew up
in southern California, made animated films at age 10, played guitar in
rockabilly bands, and eventually studied photography at the Art Center
College of Design in Pasadena. In 1986 he opened a studio in Los Angeles
and photographed celebrities for glossy magazines and the music industry.
He then decided to move into the San Francisco bay area and pursue a more
artistic career with his photography. Since then he has had numerous solo
shows and countless group shows that have even taken him to Europe. He
has two books of his work published and a third on the way. David is currently
putting together the second issue of his magazine “Garage”.
