"FINE AFFORDABLE ART IN THE TENDERLOIN"

The Shooting Gallery is proud to announce it’s opening this March in the gritty Tenderloin neighborhood. March 10, 2003 will be remembered as the day that fine art came back to the Tenderloin. Far to long has the legendary area of San Francisco been void of beautiful art. A neighborhood once flush with vibrant night life and safe streets to stroll down has become an area wrought with crime and poverty. The Shooting Gallery will attempt to bring back part of that vibrant nightlife to the neighborhood and add some cultural arts that have been missing for a while.

The gallery will be focusing on affordable fine artwork, which is something that the art gallery circuit in San Francisco is also missing. Exceptional high quality art will be on display from an average of $250 - $800 from artists both local and undiscovered and established artists from around the world. The concept of The Shooting Gallery was conceived in a struggling economy by a struggling artist who wanted to create an non-intimidating gallery environment that anyone could feel comfortable in. From the art aficionado to the first time buyer.

The gallery is opening with a black & white photographer David Perry; whose work with Betty Page style scenes and classic custom cars brings high art and low brow culture together in a high quality presentation. There will be a reception for the artist on Thursday March 13, 2003 from 7 – 11pm. The art will be on display through the month of March. For more information go to www.shootinggallerysf.com or call the gallery at (415) 931-8035. The gallery is located at 839 Larkin St. San Francisco CA 94109 at the corner of O’Farrell
