“The
2nd Annual Erotic Show”
Sex is part
of everyday life. Most people think about it daily. Whether your gettin’
some or wishin’ you were. Whether you’re selling it or protesting the
sales of it. Do you do it for fun or to pay the bills? Sex and the human
body can be many things to many people and at The Shooting Gallery it’s
“Fine Art”.
The Shooting Gallery is more than excited at the second cuming of “The
Erotic Show” this June with an opening reception on Thursday, June 10.
This year’s erotic show is a celebration of human sexuality and eroticism
through the eyes of over 30 artists. Artists like Eric Kroll, Niagara,
Yumiko Kayukawa, Anthony Ausgang and many others from around the country.
We’ll call it a “sextacular sextravaganza” not to be missed. Most every
erotic scenario imaginable will be on display with photographs, paintings
and sculpture. Works like Ausgang’s “Little Red Riding Hood Got Big”
in which the big bad wolf caresses her larger than remembered breasts
and the photography of Waiford Watts, portraits of nude ballet dancers
in precarious positions. Theresa Moore’s “Sister Morphine” in which
a sexy young woman laid out with morphine syringe is painted in a French
nouveaux oil painting. And the centerpiece of the show, Colin Christians
7 foot tall nude female sculpture, made from fiberglass and silicon.
“This show is about comfort and discomfort as a society on the whole,
about our own human sexuality”, says owner Justin Giarla. “It’s our
goal at The Shooting Gallery to bring more acceptance and appreciation
towards fine arts and eroticism.”
