Sneak peak: Van Arno

The Shooting Gallery is pleased and proud to present once again the majestic work of Van Arno. Van will be showing at next months July 10th opening here at the Shooting Gallery, and his new work is potent and aesthetically pleasurable; a show you definitely do not want to miss!

Van Arno, based out of Los Angeles, California, has progressed throughout the years as a pioneer of the contemporary art scene. Van’s work presents themes of mythology, folklore, self-identity, and pop culture, all of which shine its ways through the sculpted beautiful, often nude, figures he paints. Van’s artwork pushes the envelope of the contemporary art scene, and takes risk by emphasizing that more is always better.

Van’s current paintings present a softer tone, with lighter brush strokes, but still have the “Van Arno” dark and mysterious meaning to them. His works that will be shown are on women in english literature that have dominating themes of strong female identity, transition from dark to light, undying passionate love, and enlightenment. Van’s expertise is evident with his impressive eye catching artwork, imaginative subject matter, and the unique symbolism which characterizes and connects each piece.
