Happy New Year! We here at Shooting Gallery hope you all had a safe and welcoming start for the new 2024 year!

Before we headed off for the holidays, Ann Ross from Art Business paid a visit to the gallery and shared with us her thoughts on our current show, Steppe Warriors, with Zaya. The Mongolian artist’s pieces were rich with stories that were inspired by the era of Genghis Khan and his fine attention to detail is hard to miss while gazing at his artwork.

“With fluid and elegant lines, Zaya’s painting ‘Affection’ captures the chaos of pounding hooves and furor surrounding a man’s wife being abducted. His painting ‘Lords of Steppe’ depicts the majesty and mildness of the men, the horses, and the accompanying bird of prey.”
