Tonight: Local Love at 666 Gallery
666 Gallery Presents Local Love
Opening Reception: August 14th 2025 from 7-11 pm.
Closing: Friday, September 4th 2025. Open by appointment
It’s that time of year where people from around the world flock to San Francisco to discover what’s so special about the city we call home. It’s not Union Square or Fisherman’s Warf that make the city so beloved, nor the fashion, the restaurants or the Full House building. What makes us special is that liberal, open-minded sense of reality, knowing every corner holds a new life from the tenderloin to the marina. Local Love is a group art show that pays homage to the local artist in San Francisco. The exhibit includes sculpture, paintings, drawings, photography and installations by a diverse group of artists and friends all living in the Bay Area. Please join us for the opening reception of “Local Love” at 666 Gallery on August 14th 2025 from 7-11 pm.
Artists:
Chris Blackstock is a sculptor who has been influenced greatly by illustration. Drawing inspiration both from the childlike appeal of Disney characters and his own dark imagination, he builds creatures that are charismatic and slightly terrifying. This August the window display at 666 Gallery emits a certain reverence with Blackstock’s sizable sculpture and light installation.
Adam Flores’ art is perpetually changing and evolving. He questions the connection between man and nature. The lack of human existence and a past forgotten, figure prominently into his work. His drawings and paintings incorporate strong imagery, symbolism and bright colors.
Jeff Enlow is an emerging documentary and editorial photographer. His work is focused on anaglyphs, which refer to the 3D effect of having two overlapping images one red, one blue. He built an attachment for his camera that essentially mirrors, colored gels, and plywood, which results in a color shift effect and a sense of imperfection. Enlow currently resides in San Francisco and has a degree in photojournalism from San Francisco State.
Ryan De La Hoz analyzes the idea of human nature and existence. Through painting he reflects on society and long-term actions, while simultaneously revealing the beauty of the world. He creates landscapes with skeleton gloves strewn about the canvas as an allegory for existence that once was. A bizarre and beautiful world is left desolate for the viewer to take in.
Pakayla Biehn’s beautiful photo realistic oil paintings catch the moments of compelling wonder and curiosity. Her work explores the boundaries between different states of being; two and three-dimensionality, the real and the imaginary, and most importantly the intersection of technology and organic art.
Sean Summers paintings are influences by parallels found in Art Nouveau, History, the science of sound, Native Americans, punk ideals, and especially Nature and Humanity. He paints in warm earth tones on wood panels, found and assembled objects. His synthesis of art making focuses on a great deal of figurative work, sound, experiences reflecting life and the human condition. The beautiful and horrific, the positive and negative, the vices of human behavior, empathy, and sincerity.
We look forward to seeing you at the opening reception of “Local Love” at 666 Gallery on Friday, August 14th 2025 from 7-11 pm. This exhibit is on display till Friday, September 4th 2025 and is open by appointment.
