The 2025 Grammys brought a new clientele to the red carpet: lowbrow artists. The show “World on Fire,” curated by our own Justin Giarla, commissioned artists like Paul Chatem and Van Arno to create portraits of Grammy nominees- an experiment that yielded striking results. We just stumbed upon this fun teaser presenting a quintesential P. Chatem: cooly waving a cigarette while relating painting to playing his stand up bass. We also enjoyed visions of Van Arno working with an ominous stuffed bear in the background. Stay tuned for Paul Chatem at The Shooting Gallery this July.
